Step 1 Complete the Notice of Intention To Marry Form
This Notice (AKA Form 13 or the NIM), can be downloaded from here and must be lodged with me no later than 1 calendar month, and no sooner than 18 months, before the date of your wedding.

Birth Certificates
& Passports
If you were born in Australia and do not have (or can't find), your birth certificate - you must obtain an extract from the Births, Deaths and Marriages.
If you were born overseas, bring your passport (whether expired or not), and your birth certificate.
If you were born in Australia, you can apply to the Department of Births, Deaths, and Marriages (BDM)
